H.O.P.E. Leaders is a Tuesday & Thursday after-school community leadership development program for 9th - 12th graders who live or go to school in Northeast Tulsa.
H.O.P.E. Leaders will volunteer in kids and youth programming at the Rose Bowl or community service; have opportunities to give back to those who are homeless; make connections with peers, One Hope staff and community leaders; receive leadership development and job skill training; learn peacemaking peer mediation strategies; participate in discussions of faith, prayer, and personal values; go on a fall/ spring break leadership development trips and college visits; be eligible for gift card prizes and a cash stipend; and more.
H.O.P.E. Leaders are expected to arrive at the Rose Bowl by 4:00 PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The program will end at 5:30 PM. Transportation home (within a 2-mile radius of the Rose Bowl) will be offered as needed. Students who are able to arrive between 2:30 - 2:45 may be eligible for an additional stipend.
Requirements:
GPA of 2.5 or greater
85%+ school attendance rate
Agree to follow the One Hope Code of Conduct
*School Year H.O.P.E. Leaders in good standing will be given preference for a paid H.O.P.E. Leader position in the summer.*
