Making Sense of Your Worth Group

The Making Sense of Your Worth Curriculum follows a step-by-step process of gaining positive self-worth.  It was created by Cindy R. Lee, LCSW in partnership with HALO Project International and participants in the program show an increase in positive self-worth upon completion.

The group will be led by trained facilitator and One Hope Tulsa's executive director, Miriam Blankenship-Boone, with assistance and support from Jerusha Funderburk, One Hope Tulsa's youth program director.

We will meet on Tuesdays from 4:45 PM to 6:45 PM beginning September 15th. Optional Information Session on September 8th at 4:45 PM. Dinner and snacks are provided each week.

Participating involves showing up for all sessions. We take off for fall break and Thanksgiving break.

Please message or call us at 918-954-4147 if your student would like to receive transportation (within a 2.5 mile radius). We are able to pick up from schools in the area and/ or homes and provide transportation home if within a short distance of the Rose Bowl. 
Permissions

I understand that the "Making Sense of Your Worth" curriculum is an educational and experiential program designed to help teenagers understand their intrinsic value, process personal histories, and build healthy self-worth.


  • Emotional Processing: I recognize that this program addresses sensitive topics, including self-esteem, family dynamics, past hurts, and emotional pain.





  • Not a Substitute for Therapy: I acknowledge that while this group is facilitative and supportive, it is not a substitute for individual psychiatric clinical therapy, intensive mental health treatment, or medical intervention.


 

Confidentiality & Mandatory Reporting Limits
We highly value the privacy of our teen participants to foster a safe, trusting environment. However, safety supersedes confidentiality. By initialing below, the parent/ guardians acknowledges that the group facilitators will keep group discussions private except under the following legally mandated or safety-related exceptions: 







    • Harm to Self or Others: If a student shares a plan or intent to cause serious harm or death to themselves or others, staff must intervene and inform a parent/guardian and appropriate authorities. 








      • Abuse or Neglect: If a student discloses physical, emotional, or sexual abuse, or severe neglect, facilitators are required by law to report this to Child Protective Services. 








        • Safety & Professional Judgment: Facilitators may use professional judgment to contact parents if behavior or expressions indicate a severe mental health crisis. 


         

        Liability Release and Hold Harmless Agreement



        In consideration for allowing my child to participate in the "Making Sense of Your Worth" group, I, the undersigned parent/legal guardian, hereby release, forever discharge, and agree to hold harmless One Hope Tulsa, its directors, employees, facilitators, and volunteers from any and all liability, claims, demands, or causes of action arising out of or related to any emotional distress, physical injury, or damage to personal property that may occur during or as a result of participation in this program. 





         

        Emergency Medical Authorization



        In the event my child requires emergency medical or psychiatric care while attending the group, and I cannot be reached immediately at the contact numbers provided, I hereby authorize One Hope Tulsa staff to secure appropriate medical treatment, including transportation to a hospital and authorization of treatment by licensed medical professionals. I assume full financial responsibility for any medical expenses incurred
